Taco Waffles
Waffles don't always have to be sweet or only for breakfast. This savory waffle recipe is quick, easy and makes the perfect gluten free, low carbohydrate replacement for a taco shell.
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp flax meal
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp onion powder [optional]
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder [optional]
Prep Time:  5 minutes
Cook Time:  5 minutes
Servings:   1 waffle
  • Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high.
  • Whisk the egg and milk in a bowl.
  • Mix in all the dry ingredients.
  • Add the vinegar and give the batter a quick mix just before pouring it into the waffle iron.
  • Top with your favourite taco recipe.
